Our Fishing

Fishing currently available to PDAA members is listed on the Members Fishing Page.

Members Fishing Summary
Glensherup Competition 2018

Salmon & Sea Trout

The Tay system is renowned for the superb salmon and sea trout runs that justify its position as the number one river in the country. We are fortunate that the beats we negotiate on behalf of our members provide excellent sport throughout the season. This section lists the beats on offer to members at various periods during the current season.

Brown & Rainbow Trout

Loch Fishing

The Association offers excellent subsidised trout fishing at Glensherup Fishery.

River Tay

Members may also fish for brown trout (and grayling) on many of the main salmon beats of the Tay (as indicated in the members handbook and on the Brown Trout/River Tay pages of the website). Day tickets for trout and grayling on these beats are free to members on the day of fishing (available from Malloch's in Perth, or – for some beats – the Village Shop in Birnam). See the Permits & Bookings page for full details.

Grayling

Members may fish for grayling on the same beats of the Tay that are available for brown trout. Day tickets for trout and grayling on these beats are free to members on the day of fishing (available from Malloch's in Perth, or the village shop in Birnam).
